Some things just aren't meant to be

So we really had our hearts set on this property in the little town of Bird's Hill. It was close to a school and a park and bike trails and a store and the pit. The only down side was it was kind of small and the kids would have to change schools. I really like the school here. We offered the highest we were willing to go for that property and decided if we didn't get it then it was not meant to be and it was not. Someone bid higher than us. We found out last night, and were talking about some other options. Then we remembered another lot that we liked. So we called the realtor and made an offer today. They accepted our offer, so as of August 1st we are the owners of a 2 acre lot on River road just a couple minutes away from our current home. A clear canvas to make our own and it has a great view. Here are some pictures.

Tegan was happy about it

Well the new lot looks great too! But ya, like you said I guess the Birds HIll Park lot was just not to be. However, any place on Red River Rd. is great! Enjoy it! When are you thinking that you'll actually be in your new home on that lot?!

That's exciting!! Congratulations on being land owners!! That's exciting to think that you will be in your dream home sooner :) Are you going to get the sewer system or have a septic tank? When do you think you'll start planning the house?

We'll have to have a septic field. =(
But maybe with that much land it won't be such a big deal. Someone suggested that we build two fields. Then when one gets overly wet, we can switch to the other one.
We are not exactly sure, Megan. We have four years to build, but we won't take that long. =)
It's all pretty exciting though.
